As the Director of Policy and Research at the ACLU of Kansas, Rashane Hamby stands at the forefront of our unwavering mission to safeguard civil liberties and champion justice. Her role is pivotal in shaping and executing our affiliate's robust policy and research strategy, ensuring that we remain resolute in our commitment to upholding constitutional rights.
Prior to joining the ACLU of Kansas, Rashane served as the Director of Strategic Development and Policy at the Kansas City Action Fund, also known as School Smart Kansas City. In this role, Rashane played an instrumental role in empowering key policymakers and elected officials to advocate fervently for education policies that prioritize the well-being of students.
Born and raised in the Sunflower State, Rashane remains a proud Wyandotte girl at heart. Her enduring love for Kansas fuels her dedication to building a brighter future alongside her community, making her an indispensable force in our pursuit of civil liberties and justice.
