The ACLU of Kansas runs the Kansas-based statewide, nonpartisan voter assistance program, Election Protection, responding to issues called in to the 866-OUR-VOTE hotline. We've been successfully working with local election officials to make sure voting is as safe and accessible as it should be for every Kansan, but issues at the polls may still pop up, or voters may have questions. That's why we're here.
If you have any questions or issues with registering to vote, voting early or by mail, or voting on Election Day, notify the hotline so a trained attorney or volunteer can assist or investigate.
The Election Protection effort also includes nonpartisan poll watchers on hand at voting locations throughout the state to observe and document any issues at the polls. You can also volunteer with the Election Protection team.
