The Zanial Legal Fellowship is a paid summer internship in the Legal Department of the ACLU of Kansas—the civil rights litigation arm of this integrated advocacy organization.
This role is responsible for analyzing and developing state and local policies, conducting policy and data research on the position’s issue portfolio, supporting an impactful, non-partisan policy advocacy program, and developing a range of materials and trainings to advance objectives.
This position will primarily work on developing and implementing communications strategies for the criminal legal reform campaign. However, the position will regularly be called on to provide communications support for other affiliate campaigns and initiatives.
