Welcoming Canvass at Blocktober Fest!

September 28, 2018 @ 4:00 pm 6:30 pm
1621 Central Avenue, Kansas City, KS

As many as 30,000 people in Wyandotte County—1 in 5 people who live in the county—are without government-issued photo ID. These vulnerable populations are hindered by lack of ID or feel they must hide. This includes foster kids, immigrants, the formerly incarcerated, people without housing, and the elderly. Without proper identification, they live on the edge, excluded from full membership of the community.

The Safe and Welcoming Ordinance creates a vibrant, more connected Wyandotte County where everyone wins. The ordinance includes a municipal ID program, which would increase access for families and members of the community to a number of activities previously unavailable because they lacked identification. Be part of the fight! Come canvass with us on during the Strawberry Hill -Blocktober Fest. Together we can build a stronger, safer, and welcoming Wyandotte.
