Expanding the use of juvenile detention and an increased commitment to correctional facilities.

This bill would double the maximum cumulative detention time for juveniles, require automatic detention for firearm possession, widen the pipeline to correctional facilities by classifying youth deemed a moderate risk as chronic offenders, and ignore Kansas' record of evidence-based reform.
