Join us for the September Text Bank with Mai! Volunteers will connect with Sedgwick County neighbors about their voting rights, help them get more information, and invite them to get involved. We'll provide some pizza and drinks, while you bring yourself, a laptop, and a friend! This event is both Virtual and In-Person. In preparation for the 9/29 Immigrant's Rights event, Unwarranted, there will be a poster making party in the Wichita Office! Join us in making your own posters and signs. Bring your friends and little ones for an evening of arts and crafts with some refreshments. We will be providing all the materials but feel free to bring your own art supplies for some flare!

Join us as we launch one of the priorities of our new immigrant’s rights campaign, Opportunity Forward. This in-person and family-friendly event is the first step in our work to end the unwarranted 287g agreements that allow ICE’s reckless behavior into our cities and counties. Forcing local resources to collaborate with federal agents undermine local officers' ability to strengthen, protect, build trust, and serve our communities. Together, we will call on our cities and counties to refuse these agreements and to instead create the kind of communities where all Kansans have the opportunity to move forward.

This training is virtual but is limited to those who are available to participate in person as Poll Observers here in Kansas as part of our Election Protection Program for the General election (11/3/2026). We’re living through a political moment that can often feel overwhelming and discouraging. By signing up for Election Protection, you are taking concrete action to protect voters in your community. We think of this work as a form of joyful resistance. Election Protection is non-partisan. During this training, you'll learn what it means to be a poll observer, how the 866-OUR-VOTE supports voters, and how you can defend access to voting for fellow Kansans on Election Day. Please Note: This virtual training prepares you for an in-person volunteer shift at a polling location with us here in Kansas on Election Day.
