VOTING RIGHTS FIELD ORGANIZER

The ACLU of Kansas is building a strong organizing team within its Field Department, and now seeks to add a Voting Rights Field Organizer to the team. The ACLU of Kansas seeks an experienced organizer with initiative, independence, and strong interpersonal skills to enhance the ACLU’s ability to achieve public policy objectives by mobilizing grassroots supporters. The Field Organizer will be tasked with mobilizing and developing the leadership of supporters across Kansas to achieve short- and long-term campaign objectives in the voting rights campaign. The Field Organizer will report directly to the Field Director and work collaboratively with the policy, communications, development, and legal staff.

Voting Rights Policy Strategist

The ACLU of Kansas seeks a dynamic, creative, self-motivated team player to serve as a Voting Rights Policy Strategist. The Voting Rights Policy Strategist is a staff position within the Department of Policy and Research and will report to the Director of Policy and Research. This position will serve as a key policy and advocacy expert on civil rights and civil liberties issues surrounding voting rights through research, analysis of legal and policy issues impacting voting rights, and protection of key provisions of the Voting Rights Act. The role is responsible for analyzing and developing state and local policies, conducting policy and data research on the position’s issue portfolio, supporting an impactful, non-partisan policy advocacy program, and developing a range of materials and trainings to utilize and disseminate research findings and recommendations for public policy. The position is heavily focused on policy, legal, and factual research and analysis. During the Kansas legislative session, this staff person will regularly interact with the legislative process. The ACLU of Kansas is also deeply engaged in policy work at the city and county level in jurisdictions across Kansas; as a result, this position may involve some travel to communities around the state and can be based in either our Overland Park, KS or Wichita, KS office.

Data Manager
