An ACLU field organizer will give a quick overview of the issue we're focusing on that evening, so you'll feel confident making calls. Whether you're a seasoned advocate or brand new to this work, all are welcome!

ACLU of Kansas Executive Director Dr. Micah W. Kubic will be joining Mainstream for the lunch plenary, Christian Nationalism & Trump: An update on legislative & legal action. Attendees will hear about efforts by the Trump administration and Christian Nationalist allies to impose a narrow set of religious views on everyone. Dr. Kubic will join Nik Nartowicz (Americans United for Separation of Church and State) and Emily Wales (Planned Parenthood Great Plains) to discuss ongoing attacks on religious freedom happening in Congress, legislatures, and the courts in the areas of public education, civil rights protections, and more. Together, they’ll unpack the real-world consequences and discuss how we can collectively respond to defend freedom for all.

Join us for our monthly text banks, which will always take place the third Tuesday of the month from 6:00 to 7:00 PM at our Overland Park office, to protect voting rights and expand access to the ballot?especially for immigrant communities and voters who face language barriers.
