Summary: Requiring compensated sureties who post bond in municipal court to comply with certain requirements, requiring a minimum bond premium in district court and providing reasons for suspending or terminating authorization of a compensated surety.
- In laymans terms: Requires bond agents to charge a minimum appearance bond premium of 10%, to only post bond after receiving 50% of the bond premium, and for bond agents to be physically present when bond is posted.
Status: Previously HB 2755 but passed into the Senate last session.
