HB 2572 creates needless restrictions on returning advance ballots. Currently, over 85% of advance ballots are returned, and only 1.1% are rejected. This bill would create uncertainty and excessive penalties that would undermine trust in the electoral process and create burdens for Kansans trying to make their voice heard.
