As Development Director, Emily manages fundraising strategy for the ACLU of Kansas, growing revenue to support the civil liberties movement and engaging with donors who care deeply about freedom.
She joined the fundraising team in 2018 as Development Associate, and now leads the department. Previously, she worked at Legal Aid of Western Missouri, coordinating volunteer attorneys, and served with AmeriCorps VISTA, a national service program focused on eradicating poverty in the United States.
Emily is passionate about changing systems that implicitly value the rights of certain populations over others – and cares especially about fighting the racism inherent in our criminal legal system.
She lives with her partner and child, and you’ll find her in most settings by following the sound of raucous laughter.
