ACLU of KS Oct. 19 letter to Ford County Clerk Debbie Cox re: Election Protection

On October 19, 2018, the ACLU of Kansas issued a third letter to Ford County Clerk Debbie Cox regarding the non-partisan, election protection program to supplement assistance to voters at the polls. This came after an October 3 letter to Ms. Cox, her cancellation of a telephone call scheduled for October 5 and unwillingness to reschedule, and an October 16 letter.

Ms. Cox did not respond to the October 19 letter but did forward it to State Election Director Brian Caskey in an email saying, "LOL."

dodge city needs more polls

Response to Ford County Administrator J.D. Gilbert

Ford County Administrator J.D. Gilbert’s statement is a thinly veiled attempt to shift the embarrassing responsibility of spending $90,000 and counting on a lawsuit rather than simply opening more polling places as Dodge City constituents have most reasonably asked.
