Leavenworth County Jail re: Mental Health Access

On June 9, 2021, the ACLU of Kansas sent a letter to the Leavenworth County Sheriff Andrew Dedeke regarding multiple reports of lack of access to medical care and treatment at the jail. The jail's alleged failure to provide psychological or psychiatric care poses a violation of the Eighth Amendment.
