Bio

Amber joined the ACLU of Kansas in 2025 as the Field Director, bringing over 15 years of field and community organizing experience. Her theory of change centers on civic participation and building power at decision making tables.

Amber’s advocacy work spans reproductive justice, sexual violence prevention, immigrant rights, and health care reform. Her professional experience includes serving as a statehouse lobbyist, fellows trainer for a national organization, and organizing staff on two presidential campaigns. She has volunteered with various organizations and spent countless hours working to get progressive women into leadership roles.

A lifelong learner, she returned to the University of Kansas as a non-traditional, first generation student to earn a bachelor’s degree in public administration with minors in sociology and women, gender, and sexuality studies. Amber is a proud Kansan and Jayhawk. She is committed to building lasting power across the state to create a more just future for her children and their generation. In her spare time, she is a semi-dedicated runner, maintains a “little free library” of banned books in her front yard, and enjoys gardening.
