The ACLU of Kansas and GLSEN Kansas contacted McLouth High School after receiving reports of the school's refusal to allow students and teachers to form a a Gay-Straight Alliance club or student group. Such denial potentially violates federal law allowing equal access and the First Amendment if a school allows one student group to form and meet on on school grounds and denies others the same access.
