In a democracy you want everyone to vote easily. That includes starting from registration to making voting day a holiday so you don’t have to balance it with being at work, going very early or if you work the night shift. I see so many people not even registering to vote – they’ve just given up on elections. Especially young people.

My family has been affected by some of the issues that have made the national news related to voting rights in Kansas. I want to make sure that Kansas looks as beautiful as we are. We’ve been here forever - my family has been here since Kansas was a state.  We still have the homestead in Dodge. I have 62 first cousins are my Dad's side.

We have to show the country how good we are, that we exist. We are not just a flyover place.
