Roberta Beier is the Director of Finance and Administration at the ACLU Kansas. Roberta’s career as a Finance Director has taken her from Kansas City to the San Francisco Bay Area and back again. She has experience running the accounting and finance departments for organizations in several industries including manufacturing, construction and the arts. Most recently, Roberta and her daughter ran a twelve-room bed and breakfast in the White Mountains of New Hampshire. Upon returning to Kansas City, Roberta’s goal was to find a position at an organization whose mission was closely aligned with her values. When she learned that the ACLU Kansas was looking for a Director of Finance and Administration, she knew that was the job for her.
Roberta received her Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from the University of Kansas, studied accounting at the University of Maryland, and earned her CPA license in Kansas. She currently lives in Platte City, Missouri with her husband Jack and puppy dog Starbuck. Roberta and Jack just welcomed their eleventh grandchild into the family on Christmas Day, 2018!
