Kayla DeLoach is a Staff Attorney with the ACLU of Kansas. Kayla is currently licensed in Missouri.
Kayla grew up in Virginia and Florida. She attended the University of Central Florida for her undergraduate studies and earned a BSBA in Finance with a minor in Political Science. Her introduction to the Midwest was by way of a law school visit. She attended and graduated from the University of Iowa College of Law. Most recently, Kayla completed a two year legal fellowship with the ACLU of Missouri, where she worked on complex civil rights and liberties litigation and argued in circuit and appellate state courts in Missouri. Kayla’s litigation practice covered various issues, including Juvenile Life Without Parole, Public Records Law, First Amendment, Prisoners’ Rights, and the Right to Counsel. She enjoys hiking, paddle boarding, reading, and good banter.
